Q. Is there a way I can log into ACE InfoSystems' server directly?

A. Yes, by using a terminal emulation program. This allows your computer to communicate with our server. These types of programs are commonly referred to as telnet programs.

Q. Where can I get a Telnet Program?

A. If you have Windows 95 there is a basic Telnet Program Built into Windows 95.

Q. What if I'm not using Windows 95? Can I use telnet as well?

A. Yes. You should be able to find various IRC clients available for download from the sites below..

Q. Is there a Telnet Program for Windows NT?

A. Yes, it is built into the operating system just like with Windows 95.

Q. Why would I want to log into your server?

A. There are many reasons. If you want to upload or download files for a web page, check email from a remote computer, or just chat with other ACE InfoSystems' Clients logged in.

Q. How can I use my telnet program to log in to ACE InfoSystems?

A. You can use your own telnet program, or use our java based browser access method.

Q. Where else can I telnet to besides ACE InfoSystems' server?

A. A good place to telnet to is the ISCA BBS at telnet://bbs.isca.uiowa.edu. For a list of other BBS's check out Michael's BBS List.
